Informatics
Introduced in 1989, beginning in the 3rd form.
At present offered to 3rd- to 8th-form-students.
The subject is taught by four teachers at our school.
We are one of the six Austrian schools which also participate in a special Austrian
project, called
NOTEBOOK-Project .
Special thanks to Frau Minister Elisabeth Gehrer and Herrn Ministerialrat Dr. Reinhold Hawle for their generous support.
One class was equipped with notebooks as well as all the teachers in that class. Instead of using exercise books for writing down teachers´ information our students type it into the notebooks, store the information on disks which are used for each single subject.
Informatics
System maintenance (installation, ...); producing of HTML-pages; Internet-assisted projects; assistance in other subjects; etc.
Mathematics
Enable students to work with mathematics sofware; writing notes, exercices and tests on the computer; tests can be stored on disks or printed; etc.
English
Notes, exercises and tests are computer-written; certain topics should be worked out with the help of Internet; etc.
Biology
Note taking during lessons; working out and presenting of special topics on the computer; making use of Internet; programming of the "Laws of Volterra"; etc.
German
Using of word processing for a "drama survey"; etc.
