Making of "Middle Burgenland Culture Forum"

The Purpose was first of all to create a multi-language homepage, which shows the identity of middle Burgenland; an identity characterized by multi-language school, art and culture scenes. A further step was taken to transform the website into a portal where schedules events andactivities of these groups could be posted with a normal browser and no special knowledge of programming.

2000, Nov. 8th 2nd workshop in the BHAK Oberpullendorf, completion of the website
2000, May 26th Presentation of the project at "Museum Online" in Graz
2000, June 5th Presentation of the project at the school contest "Cyberschool 2000"

Our project found much approval at these presentations, and receives support from the Austrian Cultural Service (öks-österreichischer Kulturservice) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur). The firm ORACLE provides the Forum WebDB with space on their server in Linz, where an interactive web portal will be set up. New partners are following the founders lead and are connecting to this portal.

2000, Nov. 2nd Workshop Web Design - Our webpage got a new design and The Middle Burgenland Culture Forum a new logo.
2000, Nov. 9th Presentation of the Culture Forum Homepage at the Interpaedagogica in Graz as a display as well as on the stage of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur) with an accompanying explanation of internationalization of the project
2000, Nov. 20th Presentation of the project at the opening of Netd@ys 2000 in Linz
2000, Nov. 23rd "Middle Burgenland Culture Forum Becomes a Portal" workshop in the BHAK and BHAS Oberpullendorf. The Volksschule and the Hauptschule Oberpullendorf join as project partners. A French and a Slovenian version of the website is also completed.
2000, Dec. 18 Workshop: Web design with Stefan Daschek
Looking forward to the planned databank, the design of the individal pages was standardised
2000, Jan. 20th The website was recognized as an official contribution to the European Year of Languages 2001 and the Culture Forum received the right to used the EU logo.
2001, Feb. 20th Opening of the virtual gallery, Students, teachers, alumni and and friends of the BHAK/BHAS Oberpullendorf presented their work on the Internet.
2001, March 27th The project partner Haus St. Stephan in Oberpullendorf
Middle Burgenland authors presented their work in Literature Cafe.
2001, May 30th Presentation at BILDUNG - ONLINE 2001 in Hall in Tyrol
2002, September 26th European Day of Languages 2002:
Workshop: Web design with Karl Kleffler (we have learned how to embed sound files in web sites).
